CLINICAL IMAGING BIOLOGY

Clinical data are collected and centralized in four main stages:

  1. Patient information and signature of the consent form
  2. Collection of minimal data by the neurologist
  3. Data input and quality check in EDMUS
  4. Data export to the National Coordination Center

The OFSEP imaging group has published recommendations for encephalic and medulla MRI protocols, compatible with the clinical acquisition time available.
In order to define the parameters of the various sequences, a homogenization project was implemented in 2014. MRI acquisition protocols optimized for various manufacturers, conform to OFSEP recommendations are available.

When samples are taken as part of the patient's routine medical follow-up, biological samples (serum, plasma, urine, etc.) are taken for the OFSEP collection. These samples are stored in one of the Biological Resource Centers (BRCs) participating in the OFSEP project, according to standardized conditions (OFSEP sample form).
