Description of the OFSEP sample collection on 15 December 2021
The OFSEP collection is composed of samples taken from biological cohorts patients (OFSEP kit: blood and urine mandatory, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and faeces optional) and from HD cohort patients (blood sample).
Biological cohorts include radiologically isolated syndromes (RIS), clinically isolated syndromes (CIS), relapsing-remitting MS patients (RRMS) untreated, primary progressive MS patients (PPMS) untreated, related neurological syndromes (NMOSD), acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (LEMP) and Covid-19.
Patients included in HD cohort are RRMS, secondary progressive MS (SPMS) or PPMS.
On 15 December 2021, samples have been taken from 1,994 patients of biological cohorts and 2,668 patients of HD cohort. The always available samples are stored in 29 biological resource centers.
