OFSEP acquisition protocols

Within the framework of OFSEP (see OFSEP project information, in French), the imaging group has proposed encephalic and medulla protocols approved by the community and compatible with clinical acquisition times.

OFSEP MRI protocol [Updated in 2018 - see below "MRI acquisition protocols"]

This protocol has been published in the scientific journals “Journal of Neuroradiology” and “La Lettre du Neurologue”:

MRI acquisition protocols

In order to define the parameters of the various sequences, a homogenization project was conducted in 2014 by Elise Bannier (MRI physician in Rennes), Monica Sigovan (MRI physician in Lyon) and Bixente Dilharreguy (MRI physician in Bordeaux), in collaboration with engineers from different manufacturers (Philips, Siemens, GE). They have proposed common geometry parameters and an exhaustive list of recommended parameters for each sequence.

MRI acquisition protocol proposals optimized for Siemens (edx, pdf), Philips (exam-card) and GE (pdf), conform to OFSEP recommendations, are provided in the table below. These protocols are being distributed and adapted in collaboration with the manufacturers to cover all the machines used in France (model and software version).
